Boomers, Xers and the Workplace
Joe Guertin

The American workplace has seen some major changes, but few as profound as today’s multi-generational dynamic. There are more than 78 million Baby Boomers and 35 million Generation Xers at work… and we definitely don’t think the same! Add the Boomer predecessors, (whom we call ‘the Veterans’), and the up-and-coming ‘Millenniums,’ and your workplace culture has a whole new look!

Are today’s generational differences really any different than those of the past? Has there really been an erosion in work ethic? Do we pamper our workers when we should be leading?

This workshop addresses the myths, misconceptions and motivators of our technology-driven, multi-generational workforce. Topics include:

  • CORE VALUES….how they differ, and why
  • Four Workplace ‘Mistakes’ that trigger problems
  • Strategies for managing ‘Veteran’ and Baby Boomer’ employees
  • Strategies for managing ‘GenX’ and ‘Millennium’ employees

How to Keep Everyone Happy...and Productive
