Resolving Workplace Conflict
Debra Schmidt

Conflict is a natural part of any work environment. It can be constructive or destructive depending on how we handle it. We have choices on how to react and we are all responsible for managing our conflicts. Conflict can involve two or more individuals, teams, groups or departments.

Sometimes the persons involved are unable to come to a working agreement and their conflict is affecting their productivity or the people around them. When this occurs, it is useful to have an objective third party work with them to facilitate resolution.

During this seminar, participants will learn:

  • Excellence in teamwork
  • Clear and relevant communication
  • Active listening
  • Conflict styles
  • Workplace factors that cause conflict
  • Goals and roles of team members
  • High risk responses
  • Increasing the probability of conflict resolution
  • Resolution principles

Reframing conflict as a win-win activity.
